SHOWROOM SALES ASSISTANT
Part-time | Cape Town | Rethread
Role Summary
We're looking for someone to take ownership of showroom appointments and sales, acting as the face of Rethread when customers walk in. Alongside that, you'll support the wider operations team with light warehouse work (stock takes, order packing) when needed, and help us create content while you're in the showroom.
What You'll Do
Sales & Showroom (core) - run showroom appointments, build real relationships with customers, and drive in-store sales
Operations Support - back up the team with stock takes and order packing when the showroom is quiet or extra hands are needed
Content Creation - be comfortable on camera and help create content while you're in the showroom (this is a genuine requirement, not a nice-to-have).
Hours
While this is a part time role, the business is growing fast and potentially so will this role. To start, we will need someone who is available at least 3 days a week. 2 Week days from 10am - 2pm and Saturdays from 10 - 2pm. Please do not apply if you are not available during those hours, as that is when our showroom is open and those times are not flexible.
Salary
As this is a part-time position you will be paid an hourly rate as well as 5% commission on sales.
Who We're Looking For
Someone warm, sales-driven, has a keen interest in fashion and genuinely comfortable and excited to work with our customers
You must also be happy to help out wherever's needed on quieter days
You cannot be camera shy - if you are interested or have experience with content creation, it will be a huge advantage!

I ordered a medium size dress and received a small size that had a strong scent of soap. I sent a mail and I was told that the dress would be picked up and the correct dress would be delivered to me. This morning I received another delivery of a small dress . It makes me wonder if you double check your products when packaging them for delivery… I understood the 1st mistake but the 2nd one has left a sour taste. This was my 1st order to the store.
