Local (ZA) - All items will be sent using The Courier Guy/Pudo, please allow 3-7 working days for Pudo locker to door delivery & 1 - 3 working days for express shipping with The Courier Guy.
International - All international orders are shipped with FedEx Express Service & take between 5 - 10 working days for delivery.
Custom/Pre Orders - If you have pre-ordered or made a custom order on our website, fulfilment can take up to 14 working days. Please contact us directly for a more accurate estimate on your custom/pre-order expected delivery time.
We offer free domestic shipping for items over R1200 but, you still have the option to select 'Express Shipping' at checkout.
If you have selected free shipping, your order will be sent with Pudo's 'locker to door' service. This means it can take between 3 - 7 days working to arrive. Express orders usually take between 1 - 3 working days.
We use Pudo & Courier Guy for all domestic shipments.
Please note import duties & taxes per country vary & it is the customers responsibility to find out what these costs are in their destination country & Rethread will not be held liable for the additional fees that may apply.
Due to the increase in fuel prices internationally, the current shipping prices for international shipping is higher than usual. We hope this improves in future!
To request a return please click here. You will be able to log a return request once you have signed into your new customer account using the email, that you used to place your order. Alternatively email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Garments may be returned only when checked by our team and no defects or damages are found or if the garments supplied are not the same garments that were ordered.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
If the garments are different from what was ordered, this must be reported within (24) hours of delivery. Any damage must also be immediately reported, within (24) hours of delivery
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase/order number.
Please do not send your purchase back without it.
If you are returning garments via courier or post office you must package it carefully so that it does not become more damaged en route.
Return of products is for customer's account.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 10 business days. If you prefer, we can also send you a store credit for our online store, which can be used at any later date instead.
We acomodate custom orders/made-to-order garments for certain upcycled pieces.
Due to the nature of upcycling, we are often limited by the supply of base pieces we receive. So we might not always be able to fullfill orders of certain sizes or colours.

- Payment confirms your order.
- We will not start with the order until we have received payment & approved measurements by the customer.
- Custom orders CANNOT be returned or exchanged. The sale is final.
- We are happy to make small alterations, free of charge if neccessary, but any additional shipping costs are on the customers account.
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded or exchanged.
We do accept exchanges! If you need a different size, your item is defective or damaged, or you would rather like something else - you can request an exchange. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shipping costs for exchange are for customer's account.
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Rethread, Shop 7, Templeman Building, Knysna Main Road, 6571.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning/exchanging any of your items. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over ZAR 500.00, please use a trackable shipping service or consider purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item..
