Upcycled from pre-loved denim, this is a one-of-a-kind statement Set, including a strapless corset & pleated micro mini skirt.
Process:
Step 1: Jeans are handpicked from one of our second-hand suppliers based on quality & colour. For this set we used a pair of Levi's 501's.
Step 2: Jeans are washed & prepared for production.
Step 3: Upcycling begins. For the specific style, we cut pattern pieces for the corset from the leg section of the jeans. It is then sewn together & finished with boning and criss-cross detail at the back for adjustability in sizing. The skirt is also made from a pair of jeans - the waistband is unpicked & the leg sections are used to create the pleated section. They are sewn back together & custom sized to fit.
Step 4: Mettalic transfer - we use a special metallic transfer & transfer gel made specifically for fabric. Which means it is machine washable. Please note: some small glitter particles do shed from the jacket during the first wear.
Sizing: This piece is a once-off garment & therefore even though we repeat this set, each one will be slightly unique.
